64-year-old suspect in Kalihi bus stop stabbing arrested
The suspect in a Kalihi bus stop stabbing turned himself in to police early this morning.
Police said the 64-year-old man was wanted for a stabbing at a Kalihi bus stop at 3 a.m. on April 22.
The suspect allegedly approached a 34-year-old man sitting near the bus stop from behind and hit the victim over the head with a wooden board. The victim fought back until the suspect pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed the younger man before fleeing.
Police said the victim and witnesses identified the suspect, who turned himself in at 2:10 a.m. to the Alapai police station, where he was arrested for second-degree attempted murder.
