Man dies during scuba dive off Hawaii Kai
A scuba diver died Sunday after he was found unconscious in the ocean off Hawaii Kai, police said.
The 67-year-old man was part of a commercial ocean dive and was found in the water at about 9:12 a.m. Sunday.
A boat took the man, who was not from Hawaii, to shore where paramedics and fire rescue personnel were waiting. He was taken to a hospital were he died, police said.
5 men arrested in fight at trade center
Five men were arrested Sunday morning, including a man who police say assaulted an officer who was breaking up a fight at the Waikiki Trade Center.
Police said officers were called to a large fight at a business at about 3 a.m. A 21-year-old man, with no local address, refused to leave the establishment. He pushed one officer and punched another during his arrest, police said.
Officers arrested the suspect for investigation of assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, harassment and resisting arrest. Two other men were arrested for disorderly conduct. Another two men were facing contempt charges.
