Kalihi man, 27, arrested for allegedly choking family member
A 27-year-old Kalihi man was arrested after allegedly choking a family member at their Kahanu Street home this morning.
Police said the victim, 26, reported that she and the suspect were arguing verbally when the man began choking her, eventually choking her about 8 a.m.
The man was arrested and is being held pending counts of kidnapping, abuse of a household/family member, and interfering with the reporting of an emergency or crime.
