Wahine take 15th in national sailing event
The University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine sailing team placed 15th Saturday in the ICSA Women’s National Championship finals at Lake Travis in Texas.
Boston College won the title, followed by Yale, Rhode Island, Georgetown and Connecticut College.
Sailing for the Wahine were Madeline Kennedy, Lani Johnson, Lindsay Stewart, Hanne Nagatani and Bree Nidds.
Hawaii was competing in the national championships for the 13th time in the past 15 years.
QB Club features volleyball, concussions
Punahou volleyball coach Rick Tune and assistant clinical professor Dr. Robert Sloan of the University of Hawaii are the guest speakers at Monday’s meeting of the Honolulu Quarterback Club at the Maple Garden restaurant.
Lunch is $15 and begins at 11:30 a.m., with the program starting at noon.
Dr. Sloan’s topic is "Are Concussions Contagious?"
