GOP to field replacement candidate for state Senate race
Eric Marshall, an information technology officer for a credit union, will run for a state Senate seat as a replacement candidate for a candidate who withdrew from the race, he said today.
Marshall, a Republican, will challenge Democratic incumbent Sen. Les Ihara Jr. for the 10th District seat (Moiliili-Kaimuki-Palolo).
Douglas Lupton had filed by Tuesday’s deadline as the GOP candidate for that seat, but subsequently withdrew his candidacy. The Republican Party has three days to submit a replacement candidate.
