B.J. Penn to make UFC return
UFC president Dana White confirmed after the organization’s event in Florida on Friday that he’s targeting UFC 152 in Toronto on Sept. 22 as the likely date for B.J. Penn’s return to the octagon.
Penn will fight Canadian Rory MacDonald as a likely co-main event. A heavyweight title fight between champion Junior dos Santos and Cain Velasquez is expected to headline.
Penn announced his retirement last October following a loss to Nick Diaz at UFC 137. MacDonald is 4-1 in the UFC, with his only loss to interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit.
