Kauai firefighters battled separate fires across the island Sunday and Monday.
At 1:20 a.m. Monday crews responded to a fire at Island Cars at Lihue Industrial Park.
Several vehicles caught fire, and the blaze spread to the firm’s warehouse, according to a news release. Two cars, two scooters and a motorcycle were destroyed, and three cars were damaged.
An Island Cars employee who was working at the time sustained minor injuries and was taken to Wilcox Hospital in a private vehicle for treatment.
Damage was estimated at $200,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters also put out three brush fires:
» At about 11:15 p.m Sunday, crews responded to a brush fire on a bluff overlooking Lumahai Bay.
The 5-acre blaze was under control at 5:44 a.m. Monday, according to a news release. Firefighters put out hot spots, and the fire helicopter also conducted water drops on smoldering brush.
» Firefightersresponded at about 8:30 a.m. Monday to an agricultural burn that got out of control in Hanapepe Valley. Farmers clearing the land were conducting the burn when the fire spread beyond the area they were working in, according to a county news release.
The fire was under control at 9:30 a.m. and extinguished at 12:25 p.m., according to the news release.
Slightly less than a quarter-acre was scorched by the Hanapepe fire.

The 2,250-square-foot fire was reported under control at about 10:15 a.m. and extinguished at about 11:30 a.m. The fire helicopter made water drops.
