Police ID man killed who ran onto H-2
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 31-year-old Wahiawa man who was hit by a car and killed Saturday when he ran off a grassy H-2 freeway median and onto the road.
Nickson Manas was arguing with a 28-year-old woman from Wahiawa, and both ran onto the road, police said.
The woman also was hit by a 2006 gray Nissan. She was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center.
Man arrested after quarrel with neighbors
A 51-year-old Makiki man is in custody after he allegedly broke into a neighbor’s apartment and argued with its two occupants.
Police said the suspect entered the Makiki apartment at 5 p.m. Monday without the owner’s permission and began arguing with a woman. The resident of the unit chased the suspect into a bedroom, where the suspect allegedly threatened him before leaving.
The suspect faces a first-degree burglary charge.
