Waikiki power outage comes after scheduled maintenance
Some Hawaiian Electric Co. customers in Waikiki lost power from 7:30 tonight.
The outage lasted for a minute and up to about 45 minutes, said Jan Miller, a HECO spokeswoman.
The outage came at the end of scheduled maintenance at the Pukele Station when a cable faulted, causing dips in electricity, Miller said.
Anyone still without power should call HECO at 548-7961.
