Fujikawa misses cut on eGolf Tour
Honolulu’s Tadd Fujikawa shot a 5-over-par 76 and missed the cut by one stroke Thursday at the eGolf Tour’s Bolle Classic in North Carolina.
Fujikawa, a Moanalua High graduate, struggled at Sapona Country Club (par 71) and finished at 140. On Wednesday, his 6-under 64 was the low round at Colonial Country Club (par 70) and had him one shot off the lead.
Drew Weaver, of High Point, N.C., leads at 12-under 129.
Hawaii softball will host camps
The University of Hawaii softball program’s series of summer camps continues Saturday with a pitching clinic at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.
The clinic starts at 9 a.m. for high school and 11 a.m. for grades 6 to 8. Each pitcher must provide her own catcher.
The Rainbow Wahine coaches and players will also host camps June 20-22 for players in grades 6 to 8 and June 27-29 for those in kindergarten to fifth grade. A hitting clinic for all grades is scheduled for Aug. 11.
Groups of five or more members from a team receive a $25 discount per person. More information and the camp application are available at hawaiiathletics.com.
