Let artists adorn your pair of Toms
Hawaii artists Nicole Naone, Mandy Garcia and Takumi10 will lend their talents to a Toms shoes event at T&C Surf Ala Moana Center from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Customers who purchase a pair of Toms canvas slip-ons can get them customized free by one of the artists on the spot. (Customers who previously purchased a pair of Toms from T&C Surf can also get theirs customized at no cost.)
To find out more about the artists’ work, visit their respective websites: www.nicolenaone.com, www.mandygarcia.com and goo.gl/7fypx.
The event is part of Toms’ "One for One" national outreach campaign. The Santa Monica, Calif.-based company was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie, whose philosophy is to give one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair of shoes sold. The shoes are modeled after the Argentine alpargata, similar to espadrilles.

Sears promotion benefits charities
Sears invites customers to give back to their favorite charity by participating in the retailer’s "Love/Hate: Share Your Thoughts, Send Some Love" project.

For every product review, you can cast one vote for one of four organizations: American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, World Vision or World Wildlife Fund. Every two weeks Sears will make a contribution to one of the four charities — based on vote results — with the final grand-prize charity receiving a $100,000 contribution.
No purchase is necessary to review a product or to vote.
