Koula Street between Ala Moana Boulevard and Ilalo Street is closed following a 6-inch water main break reported early Sunday morning, the Honolulu Board of Water Supply said.

A spokesman for the Board of Water Supply said he is unsure when work in the area will be completed.

Five businesses were affected, but only one, Acura of Honolulu, is open today, he said. 

Water was restored to Acura of Honolulu by 11 a.m., one hour after it opened, an Acura manager said. 

The break in the 75-year-old pipe was first reported around 6:20 a.m. Sunday.
