Hawaiian Air parent to launch turbo-prop airline
Hawaiian Airlines’ parent company plans to acquire turbo-prop aircraft to establish a sister-carrier that will serve routes Hawaiian currently doesn’t fly.
No timetable was given for the airlines’ new start, nor was the airplane seller identified.
Hawaiian also has implemented a new fare structure for neighbor island travel reflecting lower ticket prices from 4 to 25 percent.
Under the new structure the lowest fare for a one-way, nonstop interisland flight, including taxes and fees, is the $65 cost of a ticket from Honolulu to Kahului or Honolulu to Lihue.
