A 74-year-old Honolulu woman was critically injured Tuesday after she was pinned between two vehicles at McKinley Car Wash on Kapiolani Boulevard.

Police said a 48-year-old Honolulu man was pulling his 2004 Acura into the vacuuming area of the car wash at 1139 Kapiolani Boulevard when he accelerated forward and hit the woman who was securing items in the back of a 2011 Mercedes Crossover.

The woman was pinned between both vehicles and sustained massive injuries to her leg about 11:45 a.m., police said.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition but was later downgraded to critical condition.
