Man found dead on Kapaa Quarry Road
Police were investigating the death of a man on Kapaa Quarry Road in Kailua on Thursday.
An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said police called paramedics to the scene at about 6 p.m. Thursday and said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A source said it appeared the man had a gunshot wound, but no gun was found at the scene.
Teenager is arrested in assault of sister
A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted his 11-year-old sister in Waipahu when she ignored his order to clean his room.
Police said the boy got a knife and threatened the girl at 10 a.m. when she did not respond to his demand. The girl then went into her brother’s room and lay down, and the boy assaulted her, police said. He was arrested for investigation of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse.
Woman, 60, fatally injured when hit by car
A 60-year-old Pearl City woman was fatally injured when she was struck by a 1989 Toyota Corolla traveling at high speed on Waimano Home Road on Wednesday night, police said.
The car driven by a 48-year-old Kapolei man was heading downhill on Waimano Home Road near Leomele Street at 8:13 p.m. when it hit the woman, who was in a crosswalk, police said.
Paramedics took the woman in critical condition to the Queen’s Medical Center with head and internal injuries. Police said she died early Thursday morning.
