2 men held after allegedly ramming police cruiser with stolen car

Two men were arrested Saturday after the driver of a stolen vehicle rammed a police cruiser in Kaimuki.

Police said officers noticed the driver make a traffic violation and, after running a check, discovered the vehicle was stolen.

Officers stopped the vehicle after the driver pulled into a garage on Waialae Avenue about 2:30 p.m.

The driver then drove towards a police cruiser and hit the front driver side of the car, police said.

The passenger, a 39-year-old man, was arrested for investigation of car theft, and the driver was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle, criminal property damage, and several drug offenses after police allegedly found drugs on him during his arrest.
