Hawaii County police are again asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in a burglary and fire on May 30 in Puna.

In the early morning, police and Fire Department personnel found a warehouse in the Shipman Industrial park fully engulfed in flames.

Investigation revealed that someone cut the front gate chain. One or more suspects entered the building from the rear by cutting a hole in the wall and then removed a flatbed pickup truck and some heavy equipment, police said.

Police ask that anyone with information about this case call Detective Grant Todd at 961-2385 or email him at gtodd@co.hawaii.hi.us. Tipsters may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
