Level 3 expands phone services to Hawaii, Alaska
Colorado-based Level 3 Communications Inc. has expanded voice service with local phone numbers to Hawaii and Alaska, rounding out its U.S. coverage to all 50 states.
The company offers local telephone number coverage to 87 percent of the U.S. population, company officials said this morning.
The competitive move to expand its coverage aims to allow business customers to consolidate voice services under a single provider. The company’s portfolio of services includes fiber, Internet protocol-based voice and data communications, wide-area Ethernet services, and video and content distribution services.
Level 3 has been registered to do business in Hawaii since 1998.
