Pedestrian critically injured in Waimalu crash

A man was critically injured tonight in a pedestrian crash in Waimalu.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on Kamehameha Highway near Neal Blaisdell Park. 

An Emergency Medical Services supervisor said a man, who appears to be in his 30s, was hit by a vehicle and taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition. 

Police closed the townbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway at Kuleana Road to investigate for about two hours.
