A 23-year-old man was arrested today after he tried to kidnap his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend last June in Aiea, police said.
He approached the girl near Aiea Bowl and demanded that she get into his car June 14, police said.
When she tried to walk away, the man knocked her down, attempted to drag her into his vehicle and caused minor injuries to his ex-girlfriend, police said.
He fled with her cell phone.
Police arrested the man in the Ala Moana area Wednesday for investigation of robbery and attempted kidnapping.
