Two burglars made off with a safe filled with valuables and electronics from a home in the Portlock neighborhood in Hawaii Kai this morning.

A 13-year-old boy was in the house at the time, was confronted by the burglars, but was not injured, family members said. A daughter, 17, was also not home at the time.

The incident happened between 7:45 and 9 a.m. at the Poipu Drive home while the teenagers’ father was at work.

Among the items taken was a safe 2.5-feet-by-2.5-feet in size, jewelry, laptops and computer tablets, and cameras.

One of the suspects was described as having heavy tattoos on his neck and leg.
