University of Hawaii Campus Security issued an alert after a man driving a motorcycle allegedly tried to attack a summer school student while she was jogging on Dole Street.

The incident occurred at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

The student said she was jogging along Dole Street, when she noticed that a male riding a large black motorcycle following her. The motorcycle rider passed the student multiple times on Dole Street as if trying to talk to the jogger, who was wearing earphones, UH Campus Security said.

The suspect drove his motorcycle into the access road for the Hale Aloha towers, and unsuccessfully tried to reach for the student as she jogged by.  When she ran toward the voices of people nearby, the suspect rode away.

The suspect is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, medium build, with a brown crew-cut, and wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
