Honolulu man charged with negligent homicide in drunk driving death
An Oahu grand jury indicted a 20-year-old Honolulu man Wednesday with killing an 18-year-old Mililani man in an alleged drunken driving incident in Village Park.
Bryson T. Oshiro is charged with first-degree negligent homicide, drunken driving and driving without a license. He is free on $50,000.
Police said Oshiro was drunk when his vehicle struck Orlando Vallejo Jr. early Saturday morning.
Vallejo was standing outside a vehicle on Kupuna Loop near Kahakea Street at 12:45 a.m.
Vallejo was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but his condition worsened and he died at the hospital, police said.
On Tuesday, Vallejo’s relatives and friends held a remembrance service at the accident site.
