A 34-year-old Palolo man is behind bars after a teenage girl reported being sexually assaulted by him on Tuesday morning.
Police were conducting an investigation into prostitution that resulted in the arrest, a Honolulu Police Department spokesperson said.
The girl, 15, reported being sexually assaulted in Waikiki at 3 a.m. Tuesday.
The man, of a New Jersey Avenue address, was arrested on Kaiulani Avenue about 1:35 a.m. Tuesday. He is being held pending counts of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree promotion of prostitution.
