UH soccer team wins home opener
The Hawaii women’s soccer team prevailed in its home opener with a 2-1 win over Sacred Heart tonight at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Sophomore forward Tiana Fujimoto had both scores for the Rainbow Wahine (2-1). She had the game-winner in the 85th minute as UH outshot the Pioneers 19-5.
UH heads into Sunday’s 5 p.m. game against Utah Valley with the OHANA Hotels and Resorts No Ka Oi tournament title on the line.
