A 26-year-old Makiki man is custody after allegedly hitting a police officer who was trying to break up a fight in Ala Moana Beach Park Sunday afternoon.

Police said police officers responded to report of a fight at the park at 4:30 p.m. During the fracas the angry suspect grabbed the police officer, injurying him, according to a police report. There were no details on the officer’s injury.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, third-degree assault, and harassment.
