A McCully woman allegedly shattered a car window and took control of the steering wheel forcing a car to hit a light pole last month, police said.

The incident occurred July 27 in the Ala Moana area, police said.

Police said the 31-year-old suspect grabbed the window on the driver’s side of the car, causing it to shatter, injuring a 33-year-old man.  The victim tried to drive away, but the woman jumped into the car, grabbed the victim and the car’s steering wheel causing the car to hit a pole, police said. The suspect then jumped into her own car and drove away.

Officers arrested her Monday on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage.
