A 21-year-old man is pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault for groping a woman sitting next to him on a flight from Manila to Honolulu earlier this month.

Luavalu Seuvaai entered his plea in federal court today. He will be sentenced on Dec. 4.

Seuvaai told U.S. Magistrate Judge Kevin S.C. Chang he touched the woman’s breast without her permission.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Song says Seuvaai faces up to six months in jail, a fine of up to $10,000 and one year probation.

A court affidavit said Seuvaai and the woman initially had a conversation on the flight.

Seuvaai touched the woman after she took some cold medicine and was trying to sleep. She called a flight attendant when he fondled her breast under her bra.
