Hawaii County police are looking for witnesses to a fatal motor car-motorcycle crash on July 13 on Route 190 near the 17-mile marker in North Kona.

Forty-one-year-old Randall C. Guadiz of a Waikoloa died two days after the crash.

Kona patrol officers, responding to a 10:38 p.m. call, determined that Guadiz was operating a 1998 Honda motorcycle north on Route 190 when he overtook a vehicle in a no-passing zone and sideswiped a 2012 Toyota four-door sedan traveling south and being operated by a 45-year-old California woman. The driver of the Toyota was not injured.

Police ask that anyone who witnessed the crash or was at the scene call Sgt. Christopher Gali at 961-2332.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
