Western Oregon tops Chaminade in soccer

Lindsay Bauman and JoEllen DeLeon scored goals to lead Western Oregon to a 2-0 women’s soccer victory over Chaminade on Tuesday at the Saint Louis School field.

Macy Bothman contributed with an assist for the Wolves (2-1).

Goalkeeper Lauren Ishii made 10 saves for the Silverswords (0-1).

Montana State-Billings drops Hawaii-Hilo

Kyle Emerick scored for Montana State-Billings in a 2-0 win over Hawaii-Hilo on Tuesday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.

The other goal for the Yellowjackets (3-0) was an own goal.

Luis Romero made eight saves for the Vulcans (0-1).

Simon Fraser blanks Hawaii Pacific

Aja Choy-Halo scored in the 43rd minute to lead Simon Fraser (British Columbia) past Hawaii Pacific 1-0 in women’s soccer on Tuesday in Bellingham, Wash.

Despite the loss, the Sea Warriors (1-1) outshot the Clan (1-1) in the contest 13-6 and put more shots on goal — 3-2.

BYUH moves up four spots

Brigham Young-Hawaii (2-2) moved up four spots to No. 16 in the AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 poll in women’s volleyball.
