Discount on UH football PPV road games
Oceanic Time Warner is offering University of Hawaii football season ticket-holders a 35 percent discount on the Warriors’ two road pay-per-view telecasts this season.
The two road games on PPV are Oct. 27 at Colorado State and Nov. 3 at Fresno State.
The individual-game price is normally $65 per telecast ($130 for both), but UH season-ticket holders can purchase both games for $85.
To order, season ticket-holders can call Oceanic at 643-2337 and request the "UH Football Away Game Package." The deadline is Oct. 26.
The offer is not available to neighbor island subscribers.
Suyetsugu in 40th at LPGA qualifying
Roosevelt High and University of Hawaii alum Xyra Suyetsugu is tied for 40th place going into today’s final round of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament first stage at Daytona Beach, Fla.
The top 60 and ties advance to next month’s second stage.
Suyetsugu, who plays on the Symetra Tour, fired a 4-over-par 76 Thursday at LPGA International and has a three-day total of 2-over 218. Moriya Jutanugarn is the leader at 203.
Chaminade volleyball wins in 4 sets
Kim Spring had 20 kills and hit .462 as Chaminade beat Alaska-Fairbanks 16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 26-24 in a women’s volleyball match Thursday at McCabe gym.
The Silverswords improved to 2-3.
Reilly Stevens had 16 kills for Alaska (2-2).
