Man arrested for allegedly injuring boy with frying pan
State child and family violence officials are investigating a case where a man allegedly threw a frying pan at a 6-year-old boy, causing him to suffer a fracture.
The suspect, 38, and the boy live in the same Kalihi home. Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree assault following the incident at Monday at 7 p.m., but released him pending further investigation.
The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.
No other details on the extent of the child’s injuries or what triggered the incident were available.
