UH posts call for applications for athletic director position
The University of Hawaii-Manoa has begun soliciting applications for a permanent athletic director.
The opening, which invites applications "for best consideration" by Sept. 28, was posted on the school’s website today.
It does not list a salary.
Former athletic director Jim Donovan’s contract listed an annual salary of $240,000.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, three years of athletic administration experience, demonstrated fiscal integrity and expertise.
Rockne Freitas has been acting athletic director since July 11 and has so far said he will not apply.
