Aguirre leads Hawaii Pacific to soccer win
Andrea Aguirre scored two goals and KaUa Wall scored one to lead Hawaii Pacific to a 3-0 women’s soccer victory over Chaminade on Saturday in Kaneohe.
Ashlyn Ubongen had an assist for the Sea Warriors (3-4, 2-1 Pacific West Conference).
Lauren Ishii made 13 saves and Alex Ishihara had the only shot on goal for the Silverswords (0-5, 0-3).
>> Kimo Komomua, Heimana Chene, Alejandro Porras and Kanoa Nartatez scored for the Sea Warriors in a 4-1 win over the Silverswords in the men’s game in Kaneohe.
Truls Henrik Lystad, Komomua and Daniel Haehre each had an assist for HPU (3-3, 3-0).
Tyler Uddin scored the lone goal for Chaminade (1-3-1,1-1-1).
Fresno Pacific blanks UHH in soccer
Demi Hamilton had the match’s only goal to lead Fresno Pacific to a 1-0 victory over Hawaii-Hilo in women’s soccer in Hilo on Saturday.
Teal Basquez had the only shot on goal for the Vulcans (3-3, 1-2 PacWest).
The Sunbirds (1-3-2, 1-1-1) outshot UHH 6-3.

Dixie State drops HPU in 5 in volleyball
Shannon Young had nine kills to lead Dixie State past Hawaii Pacific 25-21, 25-21, 19-25, 22-25, 15-11 in women’s volleyball Saturday at the St. Andrew’s Priory gym.
Alex Anderson had 33 digs for the Red Storm (3-6, 1-3 PacWest).
Samantha Rummans had 13 kills for the Sea Warriors (7-3, 1-1).
>> In a match Friday night in Laie, Brigham Young-Hawaii swept Dixie State 25-12, 25-16, 25-14.
Shih Ting Chen led the way for the Seasiders (7-2, 2-0) with 17 kills.
Brita Jensen and Pauline VonDinklage had six kills each for the Red Storm.
Grand Canyon sweeps Chaminade
Janae Giles knocked down 11 kills to power Grand Canyon past Chaminade 25-19, 25-18, 25-22 in women’s volleyball at McCabe Gym on Saturday.
Kristen Preach had 38 assists for the Antelopes (12-1, 2-1 PacWest), who are ranked 15th in the AVCA Division II national poll.
Crystal Powell had 11 kills for the Silverswords (4-7, 1-2).
