Waianae man charged with robbery of 83-year-old homeless woman
Honolulu police arrested one man and are looking for two other suspects in the robbery of an 83-year-old homeless woman at a Waianae beach in August.
Police arrested Chelston Ikaika Orso-Cummings, 24, of Waianae, Tuesday morning at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, where he was being held on unrelated charges.
Prosecutors charged him with second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary. His bail is set at $50,000
Police said Orso-Cummings and two other men entered the woman’s tent at about 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 and allegedly threatened her with bodily harm if she did not give them money.
The two other suspects are still at large.
