The University of Hawaii football team will don patriotic uniforms for its Nov. 24 game against UNLV in honor of U.S. military and public safety officials.
The Warriors will wear the special, custom-made uniforms against the Rebels for Military Appreciation Night at Aloha Stadium. UH is one of two teams in the nation chosen to receive the Under Armour-designed duds, an annual makeover that aims to help raise awareness and support for the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization that provides programs and services for injured service members and their families.
Boston College will also sport the special uniforms, for its Oct. 27 game against Maryland.
After the games, the two schools will auction off the uniforms on their websites, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project.
