Man held in alleged assault on boy, 5

Police arrested a 30-year-old Pacific Heights man on Friday on suspicion of assaulting a 5-year-old boy on Tuesday.

Police said a teacher asked the boy about an injury she saw on him. He told her that a family member did it.

Police arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree assault.

He was released pending further investigation.
