Today’s highlights at the Hawaii International Film Festival:
» "Ultraman Saga" (Spotlight on Japan, 11:30 a.m.): Celebrating the franchise’s 45th anniversary, the movie takes place 18 years after the TV series. The Ultra brothers face a new threat in Hyper Zetton and the monster army created by the evil Alien Bat.
» "The Iran Job" (Film for Thought, 1:15 p.m.): Documentary follows American basketball player Kevin Sheppard, who agrees to play in politically intense Iran, and the unlikely alliance he strikes with three outspoken Iranian women.

» "Graceland" (Spotlight on the Philippines, 2 p.m., repeats 4:15 p.m. Monday): An audience award winner at the recent Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, it tells of a kidnapping, with the driver of a notoriously corrupt politician stuck in the middle of a game of deceit and betrayal.
» Film & Food: Pop-Up in the Park with "Spirited Away" (Kakaako Makai Gateway Park, Ilalo Street): Food trucks and cosplay in honor of Hayao Miyazaki, whose Studio Ghibli animated features are being showcased at the festival this year. "Spirited Away" will also screen at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dole Cannery multiplex at regular admission prices.
» "Thermae Romae" (Spotlight on Japan, 9 p.m., repeats 9:15 p.m. Monday): One of the top-grossing movies in Japan this year, it’s an adaptation of an award-winning manga about a browbeaten architect in ancient Rome who finds that his local steam bath conceals a time tunnel that leads to a modern-day Japanese bathhouse.
» "Gimme the Loot" (American Indies, 9:30 p.m., repeats 3:30 p.m. Tuesday): A couple of teen graffiti writers from the Bronx try to pull off a caper to tag the apple at the New York Mets’ ballpark, something that hasn’t been done in 20 years.
