Police have charged a 14-year-old boy with allegedly assaulting a man with a skateboard Wednesday night after he confronted a gang of youths in Moiliili.

Police said the suspect was with a group of juveniles who the 36-year-old victim said were looking into his doorway. When the victim confronted the boys on the sidewalk in front of his home, the suspect allegedly hit him in the face with a skateboard.

The male suspect was turned over to juvenile authorities after being charged with second-degree assault.
