UH soccer team gets blasted at Long Beach State
The Hawaii women’s soccer team suffered its most lopsided loss of the season today, a 5-0 decision at Long Beach State.
The 49ers, fighting for a Big West Conference tournament berth, did not allow a shot on goal by UH until late in the match. Five different Beach players scored — three in the first half.
UH dropped to 8-9-2 overall, 3-5 in the Big West. A postseason tournament berth is out of reach for the Rainbow Wahine, but they can still finish with a .500 overall record with a win on Sunday at UC Irvine.
