Man injured when struck with machete
A 52-year-old man was taken in serious condition to a local trauma center after an apparent stabbing Saturday night in Waianae.
According to ambulance radio transmissions, the man reported being struck two or three times in the back of the head, resulting in at least one large laceration. The victim also complained of blindness and neck and back pain.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Plantation Road near Hoomaluhia Street, according to Emergency Medical Services. No other details were available.
Craigslist sale posting results in arrest
Police arrested a 23-year-old man Friday evening in the downtown area after he allegedly posted stolen items for sale online, police said.
According to police records, a 22-year-old man saw his stolen items being advertised for sale on Craigslist and decided to meet with the seller and notify police.
The owner identified his property, valued at more than $300, and police arrested the suspect around 5:45 p.m. Friday on suspicion of detaining stolen property.
Motorcyclist crashes on Round Top Drive
A man was taken to a local trauma center in serious condition after a motorcycle crash on Round Top Drive Saturday morning.
Emergency Medical Services personnel were called to the scene at 10:09 a.m. The man, 22, apparently had been driving the motorcycle along the winding road when the crash occurred. No other vehicles were involved.
