» Situation: Fresno State 0, Hawaii 0, about 10:00 remaining, first quarter, Fresno State ball third and 6 at own 36
» The Play: WR Isaiah Burse out-leaps S Marrell Jackson for a pass from QB Derek Carr, resulting in a 56-yard gain to the Hawaii 8.
» Impact: On the next play, Carr threw to WR Rashad Evans for an 8-yard touchdown for the first of four unanswered Fresno State TDs.
» Jackson: "I felt I misjudged the ball, and (Burse) went over my head and took it. He had better judgment than me. He pushed off, but I’m not going to complain. It’s football. If the ref didn’t call it, it’s not a penalty."

» Impact: Rouse, who is Fresno State’s all-time career rushing leader, carried 13 times for 102 yards.

» The Play: K Tyler Hadden ties his career-long with a 49-yard field goal.

» Higgins: "I surprised myself that I (ran). I don’t usually do that. … I tried to pump-fake and go upfield."
