Honolulu police released a sketch of a suspect in an attempted kidnapping case at the Windward Mall.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a witness and a man wanted for allegedly trying to kidnap a woman at the Windward Mall in Kaneohe on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the woman left Macy’s at 3:40 p.m. and walked through the parking lot to the bus stop when an unknown man approached her, grabbed her arm and tried to force her into a white four-door sedan, police said.

A woman came to her aid, but left before police could speak with her.

The suspect is described as between 30 and 40 years old, weighing between 190 to 200 pounds, with brown hair and a gray, unshaven beard.

Police are asking the woman or anyone with information concerning the kidnapping to call police at CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cell phone.
