Q-pot. line contains several sweet treats
A sure sign the holidays are around the corner: Q-pot. has launched its 2012 Christmas Collection, “Merry Sweety Party,” with an array of confections including a limited-edition “Sugary Bear Necklace” ($199) which comes in a ceramic Christmas tree case and a “Sugar Cookie Series” featuring Prince White Bear and Prince Chocolate Bear cookie forms.
There are also “Crown” and “Cake” designs at prices ranging from $66 for a Crown sugar cookie mobile phone strap to $152 for a bear sugar cookie necklace.
The boutique is in the mall level Macy’s wing, across from the Apple store. Call 955-9330.

Fantastic Sams comes to Kahala
Fantastic Sams Hair Salons welcomes its newest location at Kahala Mall on Saturday.
With adult haircuts starting at $17.95 and cuts for kids 12 and younger starting at $14.95, Fantastic Sams’ 21 salons in Hawaii cater to about 8,000 customers per week, and that number is sure to expand with its 22nd location.
The salon will be between LBD and Pictures Plus.
Oakley’s Maui store to open with a bang
Oakley will open its first Maui store in the Whalers Village at 2435 Kaanapali Parkway with members of the Oakley Surf Team and other special guests on hand to celebrate the occasion from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.
There will be a traditional Hawaiian blessing, live music and hula. Oakley brand beach towels, reusable totes, can coolers and golf balls will be available as special gifts with purchase.
The new store will carry the sport apparel brand’s full assortment of performance sunglasses, clothing, watches and other accessories, as well as merchandise exclusive to the islands.
With 250 locations worldwide, Oakley has two other stores in Hawaii, at Ala Moana Center and in Waikiki.
Wear workout line inside, outside gym
“Project Runway All-Star” contestant Althea Harper has partnered with Maui model Juetta West to create a fitness apparel line, Turn It On, for women of all ages.
They are shooting a photo and video campaign this week in Kapalua, highlighting the runway-inspired workout line.
Almost nonexistent in today’s athletic wear marketplace, each item has been designed to fit in on the street as well as in the gym. Turn It On will launch in early 2013.
