No. 13 Oklahoma pulls away from UH women’s basketball team

Thirteenth-ranked Oklahoma separated itself from the Hawaii women’s basketball team with a 21-4 run in the second half and won the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown with a 71-49 defeat of UH today.

Kamilah Martin, the lone Wahine entry on the all-tournament team, led UH (2-5) with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

UH was held to 30.6 percent shooting by the Sooners (5-1).

UH got to within 38-33 on a basket by Stephanie Ricketts with 15 minutes to play, but OU dominated from there.

The Wahine trailed by 12 in the first half, but got to within 28-25 at halftime on a buzzer-beating basket by Martin.
