High-surf advisory issued for east-facing shores
The National Weather Service Monday issued a high surf advisory from 6 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday for east-facing shores of all islands.
A north swell combined with a breezy tradewinds will cause very rough surf, the Weather Service says.
Along with very rough and choppy surf, strong rip currents are expected.
Beach goers are urged to stay out of the water and away from the shorebreak.
Surf heights are expected to reach 6 feet to 10 feet.
