A 45-year-old Waikiki man who allegedly tried to sell four stolen wheels and tires online was caught by the man he stole the items from, police say.

Police report that the suspect stole the tires and rims on Sunday and advertised them online.

The owner saw the items and with several of his friends made arrangements to meet the suspect Monday night at a McCully storage facility.

After identifying the stolen items, the owner called police who arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree theft.
