Toddler upgraded to stable after fall from second story
A 3-year-old boy who fell Thursday evening from a second-story window in Kaneohe has been upgraded to stable condition, authorities said.
The boy was a Marine dependent living on base housing at Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
The accident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, the MCBH public affairs said in a email.
Military police and the Federal Fire Department responded to the emergency, and the patient was transported to the Queen’s Medical Center, the base said.
Emergency Medical Services officials said they were not involved in the transport, but the boy was reported initially in serious condition.
The boy was transferred Friday to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children in stable condition, the base said.
2 men arrested in robbery of bar on Keeaumoku
Police arrested two men, ages 22 and 26, today for allegedly robbing a 64-year-old woman at a Keeaumoku Street bar.
Police said the two men walked into the bar at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday wanting to buy a drink.
When they were told they could not purchase alcohol, the 26-year-old Ala Moana man allegedly punched the female owner, jumped over the bar and grabbed a bottle of tequila.
The 22-year-old Makiki man allegedly shoved the woman as she tried to stop the other man.
The two fled, and police found them at the Makiki District Park.
The owner and a witness identified the men, and police arrested them at 12:15 a.m. today on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
