A 27-year-old Haleiwa man has been charged in connection with a burglary and assault of a teenager over the weekend.
Police said the victim, 15, reported that a man broke into his home in Sunset Beach and assaulted him at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Frank R. Silva turned at the Wahiawa substation about 8:40 p.m.
Siva was charged with first-degree burglary and released on $15,000 bail pending a Dec. 10 court date.
