Downed poles shut down Salt Lake Blvd. in front of Aloha Stadium
Salt Lake Boulevard between Kamehameha Highway and Kalaloa Street was shut down about 4:30 a.m. today because of a series of downed utility poles.
Honolulu Police Department dispatch said numerous utility poles are down across the road in the area next to the Aloha Stadium parking lot.
It’s unclear how long the closure will take. Police responded at about 4:13 a.m. after witnesses reported hearing a loud bang, police dispatch said. Utility crews have been notified.
